SAVE THE CHILD DIAMOND FOUNDATION is committed to shielding children and teenagers from the devastating impacts of sexual exploitation, molestation, abuse, and incest. Driven by a dynamic, youth-led team with significant female representation in management, we empower parents with critical child protection psychology skills and provide comprehensive therapy and rehabilitation, fostering a safer generation in Nigeria. Our deep community engagement ensures a lasting, positive impact on the well-being of countless families.

“Empowering Protectors: Child Protection Psychology for a Safer Generation in South East Nigeria and beyond” is a transformative program designed to equip parents, especially mothers, with the critical knowledge and practical skills in child protection psychology. We believe that by empowering caregivers to become the first line of defense, we can significantly reduce instances of molestations, exploitations, abuse and neglect, fostering nurturing environments where children can thrive.
SAVE THE CHILD FAMILY CONFERENCEE has been one of the platforms through which we carry out our empowerment programs for the parents.

Many parents are not aware of what their children are holding up, bottling up, managing wrongly and going through. During our engagements with parents, we are able to help them see, understand and become equipped to handle.

Our program for parents will deliver a comprehensive, culturally sensitive curriculum that includes:

  • Understanding Child Development & Rights: Fostering realistic expectations and respect for children’s rights.
  • The Psychology of Abuse & Neglect: Demystifying the signs, impacts, and dynamics of various forms of abuse.
  • Positive Parenting & Discipline: Promoting effective communication and non-violent disciplinary methods.
  • Creating Safe Environments: Equipping parents with strategies for home safety, body safety education, and online protection.
  • Responding & Reporting: Guiding parents on sensitive responses to disclosures and navigating official reporting pathways.
  • Parental Well-being: Supporting parents’ mental health and resilience.
