A Sacred Covenant of Love & Accountability
MARRIAGE IS A COVENANT between husband, wife, and God, forming a sacred triangle where God acts as the divine witness and judge.
Core Roles and Responsibilities
GOD (Witness & Judge): Oversees the covenant, provides divine guidance, holds both accountable, and serves as the ultimate source of love. He is watching how you treat your spouse instead of taking accountability, shifting blame, or seeking unearned sympathy from others.
HUSBAND: Called to love his wife, honor God, provide, protect, and act as a servant leader.
WIFE: Called to respect her husband, honor God, support her husband, and act as a nurturer.
Divine Accountability:
God sees how you carry out His instructions—whether a husband loves his wife as Christ loved the church, or a wife submits and respects her own husband.
God knows the absolute truth of what happened, what is happening, and what will happen, and He will judge accordingly.
The world may judge in favor of the guilty, but the Almighty God remains the ultimate judge and true witness who has seen it all from the start. So be careful!
Malachi 2:14
“Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.”
